We would like to extend a warm welcome and to invite you to discover our homeland through an entertaining and educational programme.

This programme wishes to serve as a guide and a fun journey of knowledge through the most representative species of the Greek flora and fauna, as well as the ecosystems of the Municipality of Axioupolis. With knowledge as your vehicle, you will have the opportunity to explore the fabulous treasures of our mountains and landscapes that magnetize with their beauty. Through spoken and written word and the use of computers you will expand your sense of description and synthesis, receive answers to your questions and find expression in the form of art.

Our museum is housed in a historic traditional building of unique value that once hosted the first primary school of Axioupolis. Knowing and understanding the structure and functioning of ecosystems, is a prerequisite for the effective protection of nature and the natural environment.

The mountainous region of the Municipality of Axioupolis constitutes an ecosystem that combines a beautiful landscape with biodiversity, diversiform morphological synthesis and aesthetic pleasure. Respecting and protecting nature means loving life.
